Agriculture Produce Pricing  Crisis  : Shivsena  to take up issue with NDA Govt.

Vidarbha Jan Andolan samiti (VJAS) ,Farmer's activist group from eastern part of  Maharashtra which is under grip of serious agrarian crisis and more than 3 million dry land farmers cultivating cotton and soybean are in deep distress ,has taken up the issue of prevailing hostile minimum support price (MSP) and nonexistent  procurement agency  ,has been assured by Shivsena chief Udhav Thakrey to move the NDA Govt.for addressing the core issue of going farmers suicide in region ,Kishore Tiwari of VJAS informed in press release. 

'western vidarbha farmers who voted to shivsena and BJP are in difficult situation  arthe time sowing season when they are  forced to sale  sorghum, groundnut ,soybean and  cotton below the minimum support price (MSP) and condition crop loan disbursement by banks too poor hence activist briefed the crisis to Shivsena chief Udhav Thakrey at Matoshree on 17th June,senior Shivsena leader MLA Subhash Desai also attended the meeting , it was decided to take the  Agriculture Produce Pricing  Crisis issue with  Prime Minister Naredra Modi as it is NDA Govt.'s main promise of  giving  rational MSP to cash crop of Maharashtra v.i.z. cotton ,soybean,paddy and we are hopeful as BJP-SS has govt strong presence in parliament from Maharashtra and assembly election are also due in October this year' Tiwari added.

'Loss making agrarian activity due to hostile pricing of cash crop and open exploitation of traders is main cause of prevailing debt and despair hence vidarbha farmers has given detailed distress management plan and asked SS chief to take issue with NDA Govt. to announce budgetary allocation to tackle issue as only announcing   minimum support price (MSP) with new proposed formula of considering complete investment of cultivation pulse 50% profit unless there is proper state owned procurement agency and provisioning of price stabilization fund is not provided will not solve crisis  any more hence we are approaching the all NDA partners so that innocent vidarbha farmers suicides chapter is closed ' Tiwari hoped.
