Kishore Tiwari again bats for Nitin Gadkari-TIMES OF INDIA

Nagpur: Kishore Tiwari, the farm activist who was made chairman of state government task force on agriculture — Vasantrao Naik Shetkari Swavalamban Mission (VNSSM) during BJP regime, has once again lobbied for Nitin Gadkari. He had earlier demanded that Gadkari should be made the prime minister as Narendra Modi and Amit Shan may not have been acceptable to the likely alliance partners after the 2019 elections. He had issued the statement following BJP’s dismal performance in assembly polls.
Later he demanded that Gadkari should at least get an important portfolio like the ministry of finance or defence. Now with the election results out, Tiwari told TOI that the BJP should not get carried away by the massive mandate it has got. The party will be needing able persons to run the government and Gadkari is one of them.
Tiwari told Gadkari can even be made the deputy prime minister or the minister of finance or defence. He said there is a need to decentralize the power and important portfolios should be given to parliament members who have come through the election route and not the Rajya Sabha.
He said this is the time when decentralization of power is need of the hour in BJP. This is because a single person cannot rise above the organization. Tiwari said that even the Sangh Parivar should adapt an all inclusive approach calling Gadkari a person who has been above caste and religion.
