Indian Prime Minister's credit line diplomacy which has given more than 5 billion USD to Mongolia,Bangladesh,Mauritius,Nepal ,Figi, shrilanka and other countries has forced more than 5 million deb trapped vidarbha farmers who in the grip of agrarian crisis denied fresh farm credit even after state has declared drought and crop failure since last three seasons as there is no provision in Indian budget even state Govt. who promised farm loan-waiver failed to give any relief on farm credit front resulting more than 700 distressed and drought hit farmers suicides in last five months ,Kishor Tiwari convener of farmer's advocacy group Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS) who are demanding fresh farm credit to every debt-trapped vidrabha farmer informed in press release .
"when we look at news item in local TV that Indian Prime minister has given fresh credit of 2 billion USD to Banladesh , 1 Billion USD to magnolia ,around 500 million USD each to Nepal,Bhutan ,shrilanka, figi ,Mauritius and other countries ,we are shocked to see why Indian Prime Minister failed visit vidarbha since he assume office to meet dying farmers even after more-than 1300 record farm suicides since last one year and his election promise of giving farm loan waiver and fresh farm credit to every debt trapped has been has been turned out to be election jumla (empty promise hence in order to get fresh farm credit vidarbha farmers are urging Indian Prime minister to shift us any of the country Mongolia,Bangladesh,Mauritius,Nepal ,Figi, shrilanka or any other countries so that Indian Govt. will get time to address their core issues of agrarian crisis" Tiwari said.
The situation of farm credit is too hostile to believe as only 10% farmers out of 5 million defaulter deb-trapped vidarbha farmer will get fresh farm credit as per recent state Govt. orders and RBI instruction which ask banker to cover farmers of year 14-15 for reconstruction but as the region is in the grip of drought and crop failure since 2012-13 and 2013--14 only 10% farmers will get institutional credit forcing more than 4 million distressed farmers either to take loan from private money lender or give up farming which cause of worry, tiwari said .
when Indian farmers are crying for farm credit and state Govt. like Maharashtra are openly saying that due to financial constrain ,they are not in position to give any farm loan waiver ,it is agony that PM Modi is giving busy in giving fresh credit amounting more than 5 billion USD to Mongolia,Bangladesh,Mauritius,Nepal ,Figi, shrilanka and other countries aaloowing his own farming community to die ,this is matter of shame ,Tiwari added.
