Covid-19 OutBreak-Farm Activist Kishor Tiwari Demand Relief Package for Agriculture
In line with
India's ex-agriculture minister ,veteran farm activist and farmers mission
chairman Kishor Tiwari today's urge GOI to give integrated economic relief package
in line with last packages by FM and RBI
as the impact of national lock-down has not only raised national concerns’ on Agriculture and Food Security but
complete collapse agrarian economy resulting deep distress in already dying
farmers as Corona Virus outbreaks are taken
agrarian community Agriculture’s vulnerability already collapsed due to ant
farmers national policy and hostile intervention on all fronts .As per global panic and numbers of deaths of innocents people and India's huge population present corrective precautions are must and Indian agrarian and rural community is cooperating Govt. but present unexpected damage and losses are too complex to compensate hence just share it there is need of very aggressive integrated package for dying farmers .
The impact of lock-down has been causing unexpected heavy damages to farmers of horticulture
and vegetable sector but dry land farmers Maharashtra where farmers are killing
themselves finding very difficult to sale cotton, pluses or harvest standing wheat
paddy ground hut and other seasonal crops as there is complete disruption in supply
chain and closure of procurement centres and agro-processing units, Tiwari added.

has highlighted the serious concern of complete impact of upcoming Kharif
season as 60 percent of India’s food supply and farmers’
incomes are dependent on the Kharif season and March to May is a critical time
for preparing Kharif seeds, fertilizers ,pesticides moreover Seed production is a complex process which
needs to be completed before the seed is ready to be sent to the farmers'
fields and present corona crisis may result in to seed sector, minimum support
price and seed pricing calculations deviation hence not only farmers but small and medium agro-input manufacturing companies along with agro-input retailers will
face the brunt in Kharif season hence integrated relief package in agriculture
is must with complete consultation with all stake holders ,Tiwari added.
