Vidarbha farmers welcomes NDA budget on Price Stabilization Fund, Credit to Landless Farmers and NREGA and micro-irrigation initiative but shocked over skipping on MSP isuue.

Vidarbha farmers are happy with NDA Govt.’s first budget tabled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley introducing a price stabilization fund, steps to set up a national market for farm produce, micro irrigation and water shade schemes in drought prone region , crop loan facilities to landless farmers which is being denied till date, fresh increased Nabard fund for credit restoration as well as initiatives to increase warehousing and rural connectivity alongwith with lifting APMC restrictions marketing agri. Produce but most of cotton farmers are shocked over his salient on promise of PM Modiji of introducing the renowned farm scientist M S Swaminathan's formula for fixation of MSP which provides for cost plus 50 per cent remuneration to the farmers as the basis of fixation of MSP for agricultural crops that is only way to make agriculture far more sustainable besides ensuring no farmer was compelled to either leave this occupation or commit suicide, hence we will take the issue of MSP and complete loan waiver and relief package for dry land farmers, Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti (VJAS) chief Kishore Tiwari said today.
'we are happy over the NDA Govt. decision to extend NREGA scheme to farmers ,we propose Govt. should give 100 days work subsidy to the cotton farmers as workmen wages has incresed the input cost to larger extend in recent years' Tiwari urged
‘Price volatility is a big concern introduction Rs 500 crore fund for farm price stabilization is welcome step but existing MSP is loss making one hence this fund will not served it’s purpose hence you are disrobed NDA will have change all MSP as per formula promised Modiji, vidarbha farmers wills atrt agitation fron same soon’ Tiwari added.
‘NDA initiative bring billion of landless farmers under institutional credit network is historic decision as they are tribal and from deprived section exploited by money lenders ,will legitimate the land right too’ Tiwari said
‘Maharashtra vidarbha and marathwada more than 12,000 villages millions families are forced to drink toxic water with fluoride and arsenic contamination ,NDA budget has addressed this serious issue ,we look forward that safe potable water will be available near future’ Tiwari said
