VJAS welcome AAP decision of Free Water and Power Tariff cut –Urged Maharashtra Chief Minister to follow ‘AAP’

VJAS welcome AAP decision of Free Water and Power Tariff cut –Urged Maharashtra Chief Minister to follow ‘AAP’
Nagpur -1st January 2014
Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS) activist group who is working for rights of dying cotton farmers and food staved tribal of eastern part of Maharashtra has welcomed Delhi AAP Chief Minister  Arvind Kejriwal to his historic decision to subsidies  water and power  which has largely been privatized and is being operated under word bank and free trade era of globalization  since 1991 and supported by policies of UPA and  NDA parties  allowing corporate houses to exploit common man which is being strongly protested throughout country wherever water and power distribution is handed over  private players who are just taking people on ride having made unholy alliance with both  congress and BJP  hence in order to save congress party led ‘Progressive Front Govt.’ of Neo-globalization brand ambassador  Prathviraj Chavan form humiliating defeat in next election PDF Govt. of Maharashtra is humbly urged to give free water and subsidies electricity for poor families under BPL as done by Haryana congress Govt., Kishore Tiwari of VJAS informed in press release .
‘When Delhi Govt. with merely with Rs.4000/- crore budget can take decision then state like Maharashtra where annul tax revenue collection is crossing Rs. one lakh sixty thousand crore  can take decision to give subsidy to local bodies and electric companies to give free water and free power to poor and tribal without going for budget provisioning  as  state has failed to utilize feed and kerosene subsidy and center welfare fund to larger extend for direct benefit to poor  hence this is good chance Maharashtra Govt. CM to restore his credibility lost to scarping of ‘Adarsh Scam  Report’, Tiwari added.

‘Water-Power Distribution’ is National Issue –AAP decision to Impact UPA-NDA Pro-Globalization Policies
AAP Govt. which has initiated free water and power tariff cut as fulfillment of election manifesto but this will have larger impact  pro-liberalization agenda forced by world Bank which is asking  center and states to cut subsidies on water-power-fuel and private these most essential service to corporate houses and both main leading national parties congress and BJP will have to rethink their model of development instrumented by ‘US-WORLD BANK-WTO-IMF’ and this is good beginning and move toward the real independence hence we welcome AAP decision and urged all states should follow it mainly BJP ruled states who have kept their PM candidate in waiting to avoid ‘India shining-2004’ experience, Tiwari added.

Maharashtra Govt. ignored Vidarbha Agrarian Crisis in Nagpur Session

Maharashtra Govt. ignored Vidarbha Agrarian Crisis in Nagpur Session
NAGPUR: 21st December 2013
The complete apathy CM Prithviraj Chavan and hostile stage managed working of main opposition has ignore in vidarbha farmers and tribal crisis in recently concluded Nagpur session of winter Maharashtra assembly as more than around 5 million dry land farmers are in despair and distress due massive crop failure of main cash crop cotton and soybean is facing main problem of load shedding and on going drive of disconnecting agri. pump power supply  from MSEDL, issue of support and bonus to cotton and soybean growers ,restoration fresh bank credit to all defaulters who are in debt-trap of private moneylenders  and Disbursement relief package to tune of Rs.3480 crore since august 2013,Kishore Tiwari of Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS) informed today, urging Govt. to provide aid to tackle very pathetic situation to give healing touch to dying farming community which is crying for food, medicine and relief aid ,Tiwari added.

‘As this was last Nagpur session on Maharashtra assembly before general election and assembly election, it was expected that the core issues of agrarian crisis, tribal malnutrition, non-functional public distribution system and rural power and massive unemployment crisis will be focused but concrete announcement will be made but nothing happened more over same announcement of MIHAN Project, textile park, competition of pending irrigation projects has disappointed the agrarian community and tribal of vidarbha who are dying due to starvation or committing suicides due to mounting debt and successive crop failure as winter session of Maharashtra assembly is in progress it was expected that CM should visit crisis hit region and discuss the progress over relief disbursement and review the relief rehabilitation of victims but he just attended state functions and hardship of masses were ignored ,it happened as main opposition parties were not keen to get issues resolved to logical conclusions even state has not implemented Dr.Narendra Jadhav committee recommendation more failed to get through the anti-money lending laws approved from central  ” Tiwari said.

When vidarbha cotton and soybean farmers are committing suicides three farmers a day since 2005 and this year historic excessive rain and flood causing crop failure ,they are crying for higher support price @Rs.6000/- and @Rs.5000/- for cotton and soybean but not only   CM Prithviraj Chavan but union agriculture minister sharad Pawar were managing to get bailout package from centre to tune of Rs.8000 crore with help of main opposition parties that has made mockery of serious issue and there is growing unrest in the vidarbha region against all political parties who are sharing power with out addressing basic issues of dying masses will result in opting third alternative ,Tiwari warned.

Recent over the arrest and humiliation of an Indian diplomat, Devyani Khobragade has getting bigger "national outrage" as farmers in remote western part of Maharashtra region vidarbha burnt effigy of US president Barack Obama demanding unconditional apology and withdrawal of criminal cases against Devyani Khobragade who is from Maharashtra .

‘we are shocked to know ground reality and treatment to  Indian lady diplomat who has immunity,is treated like hardcore criminal when US jurisprudence allows special procedure for dealing white collar crime and we term this as  US racism and justification of US administration to needless action to Indian  lady diplomat who was handcuffed -paraded and put in custody with sex-workers and drug peddler is highly objectionable and this is US terror will receive larger protest and vidarbha farmers will boycott American seed and agrarian input which is main reason farmers suicides in the region, Kishore Tiwari of farm activist group vidarbha janandolan samiti informed in press release today .
‘we are worried about  her and her children's safety and preserve the dignity of the IFS, which was "unquestionably under siege as there are  reports that Khobragade had been strip-searched and her DNA swab taken and this voilation of  Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (VCCR) and  this is a sensitive issue for many in India more over the recent remark of the US Marshals Service  that "standard arrestee intake procedures" were followed has fuel more fire to protest’ Tiwari added.

US MNCs  are involved in unfair trade practices and they are responsible for on going cotton farmers genocide but Indian Govt. is not only protesting them but also acting as touts same US officials  are treating out diplomats like criminals as US terror that can not be tolerated more Indian should ban all US MNCs till unconditional apology and restoration Indian prestige is not done ,farmers demanded.

taking total tally 742 in 2013 in vidarbha as flood and excessive rain has damaged crop in more than one million hector and around 5 million dry land farmers are in despair and distress due massive crop failure of main cash crop cotton and soybean but till date even after announcement after announcement of relief package to tune of Rs.3480 crore since august 2013 ,dying farmers have not received relief aid  resulting farmers suicides and CM Prithviraj Chavan of Maharashtra is spending lakhs of rupees on functions hence hundreds of  crisis hit farmers of yavatmal districts will protest his visit on 15th December to open new check post at village Pimpalkhutti(180 KM from Nagpur) on AP-Telangana border, the same villages and more than 100 villages which were worst hit due flood in july-august this year  of Penganga river till not received any aid even after union agriculture minister sharad pawar visited same village  on 12th September this year  which shows apathy of Maharashtra administration that we want echo before the Maharashtra CM ,Kishore Tiwari of Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS) informed today, urging Govt. to provide aid to tackle very pathetic situation to give healing touch to dying farming community which is crying for food, medicine and relief aid .

VJAS moves SEBI-RBI Against ‘ Wasankar –Stavik- Shreesurya Groups’ Ponzi Scheme Resulting Rs.10,000 crore Scam

VJAS moves SEBI-RBI Against  ‘ Wasankar –Stavik- Shreesurya Groups’ Ponzi Scheme Resulting Rs.10,000 crore Scam
Nagpur- 12th december 2013
The recent reported scams of so called Wealth Management and Investment companies of Dr.prashant wasankar ,Amol Dhake and Sameer Jodhi titled Wasankar,Shreesurya and Satvik by floating illegal ponzi schemes promising 2 to 3 % monthly interest  rate in which more than 50,000 investors lost their hard earn money now activist group approached financial regulator SEBI/RBI for urgent intervention and criminal prosecution as most of the these self-styled companies neither registered with Reserve Bank of India or Securities Exchange Board of India nor permitted by RBI to collect deposits by issuing fake promissory notes and deposits receipts as these companies are not registered as a Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) with  permission to collect deposits from public and it is illegal as registered NBFC's vide notification no 118 under the Acceptance of Public Deposit Rules 1998  hence thss Group’s  running illegal money multiplying schemes and has started defaulting on repayments for the last some months, need SEBI/RBI urgent intervention hence this official complaint ,Kishor tiwari of Vidarbha Jandolan  Samiti informed in press release today
It is widely reported that these  Wasankar, Shreesurya and  Satvik  groups collects deposits in  serious violation of Companies Act, Income Tax Act, regulations of SEBI and RBI and also Maharashtra Stamp Duty Act. Therefore, as responsible activist, we demand that Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of SEBI/RBI  should immediately order a detailed probe into the affairs of these uncontrolled state protected illegal financials misdeeds   to put a check on similar ponzi investment scheme operators in the country ,Tiwari added.
There are shocking reports that these self styled wealth management companies neither acquired nor applied for requisite qualification certificates and permissions to function as portfolio manager and for collecting public deposits from Reserve Bank of India and Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), these companies are  accepting deposits in his firms' names and also is promising two and half times and three times returns in two and half and four years respectively with taking any legal permission moreover these companies are  Functioning as Portfolio Manager claiming to  advise their  clients about investment in stock markets, mutual funds, government securities, debentures, gold and other precious metals, commodity exchanges but there are not controlled by anyn regulators not permitted by SEBI/RBI/BSE/NSE but they are doing activities openly hence we are moving SEBI/RBI FOR urgetn action ,Tiwari added.
According to an estimate over 50,000 persons have invested between ` 10,000 crore to  15,000 crore in Ponzi schemes floated by Dr.prashant wasankar ,Amol Dhake and Sameer Jodhi titled Wasankar, Shreesurya and Satvik companies . These are innocent victims of  evil designs and their money needs to be protected. SEBI should initiate a probe into illegal activities of these  businesses.RBI also should open an inquiry against these companies  for not acquiring license to function as Non Banking Finance Company (NBFC) and illegally collecting deposits from public,Tiwari said

Give relief to 3 Million Dying Distressed Vidarbha Farmers-VJAS

VJAS  urged for urgent relief for Dying Distressed Vidarbha Farmers
NAGPUR: 9TH December 2013
All earlier announcement of Maharashtra   Chief Minister Prithviraj  Chavan of giving relief package of Rs.1980 crore in august  followed union agriculture minister sharad pawar central relief package of Rs.940 crore in October but till administration has not given single paisa to distressed debt trapped 3 million vidarbha farmers hence we are requesting Maharashtra to arrange urgent disbursement of relief aid without making further any announcement of relief package in Nagpur winter session as vidarbha has reported more than 324 farmers suicides since CM announcement of first relief package taking tally  734 in year 2013  , kishore Tiwari  of  Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS)  informed in press release today .
”we are shocked to see step motherly treatment to vidarbha farmers when same Govt. is  keen to provide relief western Maharashtra sugarcane farmers who all asking for better price and we support their demand but at the same time vidarbha farmers are off loading cotton and soybean in less MSP but same Govt. is showing apathy to issue moreover power load shedding has ruined standing cotton crop in west vidarbha hence we want Maharashtra govt. to respond to the serious agrarian crisis of vidarbha and provide urgent relief as session in Nagpur is to address these issues mainly ” Tiwari said.

Vidarbha where more than million acres of land has been eroded and crop lost amounting more than Rs.20,000 crore but announced relief by centre and state for Vidarbha is merge Rs.2800 crore which is too less to repair damaged  roads and bridges on a large scale and need urgent repairs and will need more money for property damage compensation  hence massive crop damages are likely to ignored  as final assessment report  of state govt. has not been submitted and farmers are crying for help, Kishor Tiwari said

As all announcements are turning out to be hoax for example in August Maharashtra Chief Minister announced Rs.2000 crore relief aid but till date nothing has been released more over local administration is shamelessly is Rs.80 to Rs.100 relief cheque  rubbing the salt on the wounds of dying farmers who lost complete crop, home and cattle as there are more than 3 million  flood effected farmers and others hence it is obvious  this aid is peanut hence vidarbha farmers  are demanding higher support price for cotton and soybean i.e. @ Rs.6000/ quintal and @5000/quintal, ” tiwari added

Earlier too when Indian Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh visited vidarbha on 1st July 2006 for announcing vidarbha relief package of Rs.3750 and he told the farm widows that his visit to give healing touch to distressed farmers  but  all promises given by him went in vain  and complete relief package followed by farm loan waiver failed to address the farm suicide issue failed miserably and his so called ‘Healing Touch’ has given more pain and despair now Indian Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar is on three day “Farm suicide tourism”  with same slogan that his tour is not political one and he is visiting flood hit region to give healing touch to dying farmers but farmers are requesting him not to rub the salt to their wounds by giving to promises and creating rosy picture as it’s trigger more suicide as when PM promise of farm credit ,direct aid and restoration to  sustainable agriculture and livelihood of agrarian community turned to be hoax, Tiwari said. ,
, Tiwari added.

Vidarbha farmers to protest Maharashtra Govt. move to allows field Trials of GM Crops

Vidarbha farmers to protest  Maharashtra Govt. move to allows field Trials of GM Crops
December 1st 2013
While debate over environment publice health safety impact of introduction and adoption of transgenic crops in the country is still raging and Supreme Court and indian parliament is till considering the critical aspects of serious objection raised by experts Maharashtra Government has cleared field trials of several transgenic crops in at least 28 cases is being strongly opposed  by farm activist group Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti and organized protest on Monday 2nd December ,demanding the withdrawal all 28 NOC given for GM crop trials. Vidarbha cotton farmers will lodge its protest and strong displeasure over the Maharashtra Government’s move of granting NOC to field trials of transgenic crops, VJAS for stopping the trials, will move Central Government as well as the Supreme Court” said Kishor Tiwari of (VJAS) that has been opposing transgenic/genetically modified crops.

Tiwari alleged that Sharad Pawar, Union Agriculture Minister; and Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra have supported multi-national corporations bringing in ‘dangerous’ transgenic crops into Indian markets. “Transgenic food crops pose a great health risk to human beings and also impact the environment adversely. Hence, many developed countries have banned these crops. Now, these companies have entered the Indian scene and they want to create their own monopoly in seeds of various crops. This needs to be opposed,” he said.
According to Tiwari, the committee led by Dr Anil Kakodkar comprised all the ‘pro-Government’ members and hence it took the controversial decision of granting NOC to companies for conducting field trials of transgenic crops, overlooking biosafety aspects and risk to human beings as well as environment. As far as Maharashtra is concerned, he said, Bt Cotton crop had proved to be a great failure and had resulted in suicides of over 10,000 cotton-growers over the past 10 years. “It is beyond comprehension as to why the Government is pushing forth the agenda of transgenic crop companies,” he added.

Earlier last year following a heavy pressure mounted by NGOs and activists, Central Government had directed the agriculture input companies to seek ‘no objection certificate’ (NOC) from the Governments in the States where they wanted to conduct field trials of their transgenic crops. In Maharashtra, there were no guidelines regarding issuance of NOC in such cases. As a result, Maharashtra Government formed a 10-member committee headed by eminent nuclear scientist and Padma Vibhushan Dr Anil Kakodkar but decision has been taken without taking farm expert and environmental expert who are having critical objection over Gm seed hence we are protesting the move, Tiwari added.
