Dated 31 January 2019
Kishore Tiwari, chairman of Vasantrao Naik Swavalamban Mission (Minister rank, state task force for addressing agricultural distress in 14 farmer suicide-hit districts of Maharashtra), has urged NDA Govt. to to change basic changes in agrarian polices of the nation to give dying farmers right to exist not rosy bailout packages drafted by Agri business communities and pro corporate Babus  .
Kishore Tiwari was reacting to media reports and statements of some of ministers of NDA Govt. that last budget of NDA-2 is farmers budget but past experience shows that all previous pro-farmers  budget were lastly protected MNC's and Agri business communities coupled with PSU banks recoveries as core is issues of introduction of directs income subsides, crop protect by introducing   quantitative  restrictions of import and export ,restoration  input subsides as on  GATT regime .
In last ten years credit outlay for agriculture has increased from 2 lakh crore to 13 lakh crore but direct credit to farmers increased marginally where as credit to Agribusiness communities increased  ten times thanks to wrong policies of RBI and NABARD hence farm credit policies has to be redrafted so low interest credit is available to every farmers not farm loan waiver as it always helps banks to reduce to NPA as recent farm loan waiver packages various states resulted in the same in line UPA1 mega farm loan waiver ,Tiwari aaded..

Micro finance companies and private lenders’ loans should also be wiped out as farmers and women’s self-help groups are reeling under usurious rates charged by these private agencies.
cash subsidy of Rs 5000 an acre be given in a crop season to every farmer in rain fed areas of Vidarbha and Marathwada.
On the lines of Jharkhand and Telangana, a direct, In maharshtra Despite efforts like loan waiver, Jalyukta Shivar, subsidised foodgrains, free healthcare, farmers continue to commit suicide in large numbers because of economic stress. So it is time old farmers be given a monthly pension fulfilling promise made by prime minister Narendra Modi in 2014,Tiwari added.
