New Vidarbha Minister Sanjay Dhotre is hope for Maharashtra framers- Kishor Tiwari

New Vidarbha Minister Sanjay Dhotre is hope  for  Maharashtra framers- Kishor Tiwari

Dated- 30th May 2019
As expected Sanjay Dhotre has been inducted in MODI-2 govt. who has  registered his fourth poll victory from Akola Lok Sabha constituency and in the process become first politician to achieve this feat from the district is the only hope farmer who are facing agrarian crisis ,welcoming the induction Kishore Tiwari reported today .
Enthused by his win, BJP activists from the  Akola district now demand a ministerial berth for the four-time MP, who succeeded in fighting an anti-incumbency which is a sort of norm after an MP or MLA competes three successive terms.
Among all seats in Vidarbha, only Dhotre and Union minister Nitin Gadkari’s seats were considered certain, while tough fight was predicted in all other eight seats. Dhotre’s contemporaries like Union minster for state Hansraj Ahir and former Union minister of state for finance and company affairs Anand Adsul lost their seats to rival parties. While Ahir lost to Congress’s Balu Dhanorkar, Adsul lost to independent Navnit Rana, who was supported by NCP. Both the BJP veterans were three to five-time MPs from their respective constituencies.
Against this backdrop, Dhotre’s fourth successive win becomes more creditable as he fought the battle of ballots with seasoned politician like Prakash Ambedkar, Dhotre’s supporters.
Dhotre, who’s having a mechanical engineering degree, has won by a massive margin of over 2.75 lakh votes against his nearest rival Prakash Ambedkar of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA). The margin is highest among all Vidarbha parliamentary seats. His success can be gauged from the fact that his vote tally is 21,000 more than the votes garnered by Ambedkar and Congress’s candidate Hidayat Patel added together. While Dhotre secured 5,54,444 votes, Ambedkar polled 2,78,848 votes to secure second position, and Patel got 2,54,370 votes to occupy third position. Even if the votes polled by Congress and VBA candidates are combined, the total is still 21,226 less than Dhotre’s tally.
The four-time MP is not only an entrepreneur but also a recipient of Maharashtra government’s award for excellent performance in 1987 and Vasantrao Naik memorial award for outstanding work in the agriculture sector. He was president of Akola Engineers and Architects Association and vice-president of Sinchai Sahyog, and also director of Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation Limited. Dhotre was also on executive council of Akola-based Panjabrao Deshmukh Agriculture University from 2000-2004 and was member on committees on rural development and information technology of government of India.
His father Shyamrao Dhotre Patil was an MLA, but he had quit politics midway after experiencing bitter infighting. He never wanted his son to enter politics and always insisted on completing studies .
'I am his from engineering college days ,he is initially joined farmers movements in 1975 and then  JP movement in 1977 .he is non-corrupt politician without any blot  in last 50 years of public life hence his induction in union cabinet ' Kishore tiwari informed today .
